Camp China Supports OneSky (Half the Sky) Foundation

As adoptive families, we often think of how we might help the children in China still without families. Camp China found a fun way to do just that! Each year, at camp, we have a themed gift Basket raffle to benefit OneSky (formerly Half The Sky) Foundation. Camp China 2016 raised over $1,500.00 with the proceeds going to Gold Sponsorships.  We hope to reach at least $2,500.00 this year through the addition of online giving.   100% of the net proceeds (donation less charge fee) go to OneSky.

This year’s Donation to OneSky will be in the memory of our beloved Martial Arts / Tai Chi instructor Bill Wojasinski.  We cannot think of a better way to honor his love of Camp China than with a memorial donation.  Please select the link below.  You may pay with PayPal or Charge/Debit cards. There is also a “Special Instructions” link to leave a message for Bill’s family.

We know that not all of our supporters and fans are able to attend Camp China each year. But, we want to give each of you the opportunity to help us support our efforts. Please follow the DONATE link and help us support this worthy cause.

Thank you for your help!

Local Agencies Adopt the Model Half the Sky’s long term strategy is that local agencies in China will operate nurturing programs themselves. Direct services are being transferred to the sister organization in China while Half the Sky continues as a philanthropically supported training organization.

Although I have missed Camp China the last several years, I have great memories of Tai Chi practice and conversation with my friend Bill at Camp Chinas past. I know he is in good form with the Great Master now.

Dear Vickie and Jayden, We were so very sorry to hear of your loss. Our family thought the world of Bill, and he will be greatly missed. He was a very special person to us, and we looked forward to seeing him, along with you, each year at camp. We were just talking the other day about some of the safety rules and self-defense moves he had taught the kids. We feel very fortunate that we had the opportunity to know him, and to spend time with him at camp. It will certainly not be the same without him, but we will never forget his generous spirit, kindness, and humor. You are in our thoughts and prayers. With much love from Jennifer, Steven, Olivia, and Owen Kittredge
