Indoor Climbing Wall: One of the Gyms at the Blue Ridge Assembly is outfitted with an indoor climbing wall. YMCA staff members make sure everyone is suited up in a harness, then is belayed while climbing the 25 ft. wall. Closed-toed shoes / tennis shoes are required for this activity. This activity must be pre-paid with camp registration.
Crafts: YMCA staff members help campers with several different craft options. Campers go to the Heritage Art Studio during the afternoon family time and make a craft. Craft Room projects range from beginner to advanced-level, are priced from $2-$25, and can take anywhere from a few minutes to the whole 2.5 hours allocated in our schedule. This activity is paid for upon completion of the class because of the different costs of the crafts.
